Cultural Intelligence: Skills for Success Locally & Globally Winter 2018
Introductory Session: Thursday March 1, 7:00-8:00pm
Training: Thursday April 5, 7:00-8:30pm
Cultural Intelligence is a set of skills which are crucial for success in cross-cultural settings. Research demonstrates that cultural intelligence predicts adjustments, wellbeing, situational leadership and task performance in culturally diverse settings. People with high Cultural Intelligence are better decision makers, negotiators, networkers and leaders for today’s globalized world. Cross-cultural contexts can involve ethnic, national, generational or organizational cultural differences.
The 60 minutes Introductory Session on March 1 at 7:00pm will provide a broad overview of the principles behind Cultural lntelligence and how it can be improved and produce lasting results. The 90 minute Training on April 5 at 7:00pm will help you assess your current skills in working cross-culturally. You will develop a plan for how to maximize your strengths and how to work on your challenges. The Introductory Session is not a prerequisite for the Training.
